TW Peacocke has been directing and producing award-winning television for over 30 years. He directed seven episodes of Schitt’s Creek and a full half-season of SurrealEstate. He has executive-produced & directed eight TV Movies for Hallmark and Great American Family, produced and directed the pilot and seven episodes of M.V.P. for CBC, was the Creative Consultant-Director on Global’s Blue Murder, and directed the pilot and seventeen episodes of Rent a Goalie for Showcase. His ability to see “the big picture” has made him a valuable asset to productions for which he directed multiple episodes, including Haven (10 episodes), North of 60, (13), Madison (10), Heartland (10) and Black Harbour (8). The constant “repeat business” is a testament to his collaborative spirit and dedicated leadership.
His broad experience encompasses drama, comedy, action, horror, sci-fi and family. He has won a Canadian Screen Award, a Directors Guild Award, and two Canadian Comedy Awards, along with nine other Best Director nominations, including one for the acclaimed mini-series Canada Russia ’72 in which he also appeared as the Soviet Captain, Viktor Kuzkin.
He studied painting at the Banff Centre, and French literature at L’Université de Caen in France. He attended the MFA Film Program at New York University after earning a degree in History from Yale University, where he played Junior Varsity hockey.
TW is a citizen of Canada and the United States and speaks both English and French. He has mentored, instructed and led directing seminars at the Canadian Film Centre, the CSTC, and Niagara College. He served on Executive Boards of the Directors Guild of Canada for ten years and is a member of the Writers Guild of Canada.
